Final selection of candidates is made strictly on merit. Only the most suitable candidates are offered positions. Normally more candidates are selected than vacant positions as "reserve" to be called on in the event that first choice candidates later become unavailable due to application withdrawal of failure in the expatriation control checks such as medical examination.

Some employers prefer selected candidates to be ranked according to preference. In this case priority is given in the processing and departure schedule to those recruits with the highest ranking.

A "Final Selection Report" is prepared for the employer together with a selection confirmation list and the personal data of selected candidates. Unsuccessful candidate files are kept on computer for possible future review and consideration.

We should mention to employers that we regard the job applicant as our "customer" also. It includes the feelings of job applicants towards the manner in which we conduct the recruitment and selection. In practice this involves:-
